Self Check-in & Check-out
Arrival for new guests is any time from 4:00pm. We will contact you in advance with arrival instructions for self check-in. Please contact us if you have any questions on arrival.
We ask that you vacate the cottage by 10:00am on your departure day.
These times enable our housekeeper to clean and prepare the property for the next guests. It also means we have ample opportunity to arrange and conduct any routine or emergency maintenance, if necessary.
We respectfully ask that you do not park on the driveway or access the cottage outside of these agreed times, unless by prior arrangement directly with the owner.
Full payment is required to secure your booking if your arrival date is less than 8 weeks from the date you book.
If booking more than 8 weeks in advance, a 25% deposit is payable with the balance due at least 8 weeks before arrival. You may arrange payment in full if you prefer.
You are responsible for making payment on time.
All payments are non-refundable and we recommend you arrange travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances. Booking dates cannot be changed. If you need to cancel your booking with more than 28 days' notice and we are able to re-book the dates we may be able to issue a partial refund. We cannot guarantee any refund in the event of cancellation less than 28 days before your planned arrival.
We reserve the right to cancel your stay at any time in the unlikely event that we are unable to accommodate you at Shire Cottage due to unforeseen circumstances. Should this be necessary, we will contact you immediately to offer a full refund or alternative date.
In the event of government-imposed restrictions on travel affecting your stay, we will automatically postpone your booking and issue a credit note to be used for a future date. Should you prefer a full refund, please contact us to make arrangements.
