How much does it cost to stay?

You can check rates via our online booking system.

We charge a nightly rate + £100 booking fee in order to make the cottage available with fair pricing for short breaks as well as 7 night stays.

How do I book to stay at Shire Cottage?

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, the cottage is suitable for housetrained small or medium sized dogs. Please see our Pet Policy for more information, as we advise you consider the available outside space and location of the cottage before booking to bring your dog.

Can I invite extra guests?

You are welcome to invite friends or family to stay overnight, so long as you don’t exceed the maximum occupancy of 4 adults + 1 baby at any time. Please include additional guests in your booking details, even if they are just staying for one night. 

Where do we park?

You can park right in front of the cottage. It’s free, which is a bonus in the middle of town!

Can we park two cars?

There is space to park one vehicle on the gravel driveway at the cottage with the gates closed. You may park a second car bumper-to-bumper with the gates open if you wish. Please do not attempt to fit two cars inside the gates by moving furniture or parking on the paved area or flower beds.

Can we arrange an early check-in or late check-out?

Arrival is after 16:00, departure by 10:00.

These times are fixed to enable us to carry out housekeeping and routine maintenance between bookings. We kindly ask that you respect these times, although you are welcome to contact us to check before your stay.

 

Is there room for a cot?

Yes, there is space for a cot in the master bedroom or in the twin bedroom, so long as one of the single beds is stored away. Please contact us in advance if you would like to arrange this. 

Is there a shower?

No, sorry. The bathroom has a roll-top bath with a hand-held shower.
